Cannon County Schools:  Public Feedback of ESSER 3.0 Funds and Safe Return to School/Continuity of Services Plan

The American Rescue Plan Act (ARP) was signed into law by the federal government on March 11, 2021, and provided nearly $122 billion for the Elementary and Secondary School Relief Fund (ESSER) for schools across the nation. Federal guidance states that all funds must be spent in the prevention, preparation, and response to COVID-19. These funds are designated for one-time expenditures, and 20% of funds must target learning loss due to school closures.

Cannon County Schools is seeking meaningful, public consultation from all district and community stakeholders on the planning and spending of ESSER funds and safe return to school/continuity of services plan. Your input will be used to help determine how the district should best utilize these one-time resources and address the ongoing COVID-19 recovery. We appreciate and value your feedback as we work together to create a unified environment that will provide opportunities for all students to reach their full potential.

Please take a few moments to review the ESSER presentation and answer a few questions. The survey will remain active for 30 days to gather feedback.
